The Halo Shield uses a multi-layer shielding construction designed to combine electromagnetic shielding materials with lightweight, durable outerwear.Primary Shielding Layer:A soft, flexible silver-coated nylon tricot fabric with high electrical conductivity. The material has a surface resistance below 0.1 Ω and a manufacturer-specified average attenuation of approximately 70 dB across 10 MHz–18 GHz. Its conductive silver-fibre structure is designed for RF, EMI and EMF shielding while remaining lightweight and comfortable.Secondary Shielding Layer:A conductive copper, nickel and polyester fabric arranged in a diamond-grid structure. This creates a conductive network based on the principles of a Faraday cage. The material has a surface resistance below 0.03 Ω and a manufacturer-specified average attenuation of approximately 85 dB across 30 MHz–18 GHz.Protective Outer Layer:The shielding system is enclosed within a 40D ripstop nylon shell selected for its lightweight, durable and water-resistant properties. This protects the conductive layers while giving the Halo Shield the appearance and functionality of everyday technical outerwear.Breathable Inner Lining:The layer closest to the body is a lightweight polyester sports mesh with an open-knit structure designed to promote airflow and breathability. The material is also durable and wrinkle-resistant, helping the jacket maintain its structure during everyday wear.Together, these layers create the Halo Shield's integrated construction: breathable mesh for comfort, silver and copper-nickel conductive layers for shielding, and ripstop nylon for exterior protection.
